Overview of Web Site

This site contains information from across the web and other resources to help you as you advocate for your patient's health. It can also be used as a more detailed instructional course. The online toolbox contains links to various web sites dedicated to specific health issues.

There are sections specific to Physicians. Those specific sections are identified in purple. These pages can be found in the Physicians drop-down menu. The rest of the site are reference materials but do not deal specificly with physicians.

There are also sections specific to Educators, with links to powerpoints, handouts, and other ideas for teaching about advoacy in the classroom. Those specific sections are identified in green.

To use this as a course, begin by looking under "This Course". Continue through each menu item to read the articles and other information. As you do so, you will gain the skills, tools, and attitudes necessary for you to be a successful health advocate. Once you have completed the didactic modules you, too, can use the online toolbox and the www to address your specific healthcare concerns. Remember, advocacy starts with you!
