PDA 5A Intervention Model "Screens"
The "5-A's:" Ask, Advise, Assess, Assist, Arrange
Directions: Navigate through the "PDA screens" and check appropriate items as you counsel the patient.
These screens can take as little as 1 to 3 minutes. Data stored by the PDA can be used to update patient records (electronic or hard-copy), and to facilitate other functions (e.g., e-prescriptions, proactive e-mail reminders, and tailored reports).
